What is playEd?

On a mission to blend technology, education, and play to create multifaceted and engaging learning experiences, PlayED is your e-library of digital education games to brighten the classroom, support you, and motivate your little ones’ learning.

What makes playEd special?

We believe in the power of digital play . And we believe in digital technology’s capacity to strengthen, enhance, and amplify this type of learning. The result? Learning experiences that don’t just accomplish learning goals. But support the growth of social, interpersonal, and digital fluency skills.
And that is what we create with our games. Learning goes beyond the mark-sheet and sparks students’ curiosity for education.

I’m not in Australia, can I still join the playEd family?

Yes! From the Maldives to Mars, if you’re an educator who believes in the power of digital play education, as far as we’re concerned – you’re already in the family.


How long does each game take to play?

Our games roughly take 5 minutes (speedy gonzales) to 15 minutes (slow’n’steady) to play. We’ve intentionally designed our games to be quick journeys so they will effectively hold the attention of little learners and will fit neatly into your day’s learning and teaching agenda.

What is a “question set”?

A question set is a series of questions that you can input into our digital games to customise it to you, your class, and your individual students. You are able to create your own question set or access pre-populated questions to save time that have been contributed and submitted by fellow playED members in the public e-library.

Can I share a question set I have created?

Yup. Yes. Absolutely. You’ll always have access to a private link that you can choose to share with your educator friends or share with the broader community. However, for your teacher friends to access the link, they’ll need to already have or create a playED account.

How do my students access playEd games?

Students access their individual games through their own account. This is by a unique password or quick and easy QR codes which are scanned by their device.

How do I contribute a question set to the GameZone?

It’s not compulsory to create or contribute to the public library, but we’d love to have you co-create games with us.
1/ Already have a PlayED Membership
2/ Submit your questions to the private or public library.
3/ Once approved by our PlayED team, your game set will be live in roughly 2-weeks.

How do you quality assure the question sets?

All question sets are quality-assured personally by our PlayED team. There are also opportunities to leave reviews and ratings for all community-created question sets.

How often do you launch new games?

We’re a busy bunch, and aim to release 4 new games per year onto the shelves of our e-library.

How do you come up with the ideas for the games?

At every step, we’re inspired by you, our teachers. We’re constantly looking for new themes, opportunities to better your experience, and create digital games that keep your little learners engaged. Got an idea you’re busting to share with us? We’d love to hear from you.

What do I do if my email address is already in use?

Eep! If your email address is already in use, it’s likely because you’ve set up an account with us already. Head over to the sign in page and hit ‘Forgot Password?’
From there, you’ll be able to reset your password.
Still having trouble? Shoot us an email and we’ll get you sorted out quick smart.

How do I change my email address?

Registered with an email address you no longer use? No problem-o. Log in to your account and visit the My Account page. Click ‘Edit Member Profile’ and follow the prompts under [HEADING]

How do I change my password?

Hop over to the Account Settings tab. Click ‘Edit Account Settings’. Follow the prompts to change your password. Easy peasy.

What do I do if I’ve forgotten my password?

Don’t sweat it! Between the endless marking, planning, and lunch duties, it’s amazing us teachers don’t forget our heads some days!

If you’ve forgotten your account password, just hit ‘Forgot Password?’ at the login portal and we’ll get you back in faster than you can say “Playground duty, again?!”


Will you advise me in advance if there are pricing changes?

The cost of your membership when you sign up? Is the same monthly price you’ll pay until you (and if you) leave your membership.
In a nutshell, this means that you’ll never get stung by unexpected subscription cost increases. Woo-hoo, right?!

Do you have a referral system?

Do you offer refunds?

Because our digital games are created as experiences, we don’t offer refunds. However, you are free to cancel your subscription at any time through your Account Settings.

If, for any reason, our digital games aren’t bringing the yay to your day, we’d love to hear about your experience. Your feedback directly shapes what and how we create, so if you do have a moment to spare, we’d love to hear from you.

What happens if I want to cancel my membership?

We’re all about subscription-style simplicity. So if you join the PlayED family and later decide it’s not the best fit for you? You can cancel any time and you’ll still have access to our digital games right up until the end date listed on your Account Settings .
